Whew , It has been a hectic and grueling Holiday season and it has greatly affected my focus and drive as meals were skipped, hunger took over and goal forgotten. The Holidays continued on to weeks of birthday dinners, lunches and cakes which lasted till the 3rd week of January. The result is a whopping gain of 10 more lbs almost hitting a total RE gained total weight of 22-28 lbs. that translate to 4-5 inches of waist!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!. I woke up when I took a photo of myself at dinner and saw a resurgence of a very bloated face. feeling very uncomfortable with a tightening jeans, shirts not to mention lower energy level.. time for Action.

205 lbs - 40 inch waist
On the first day of Chinese new year, Jan 27, 2012Year of the Water Dragon, my year, my element, I embarked on a Hi - lean protein, Hi fiber diet, well, lifestyle change. Based loosely on the ATKINS with the exclusion of fatty, processed and red meats, and a lot of leafy and low glycemic vegetables. I feel this is an easier route realizing that when I did calorie counting I included candies (gummy worms , peach rings,. dutch fudge cakes, although in the parameters of my daily caloric limitations, it actually triggered a relapse of my sugar addiction. I have to be honest and stop denying that I am a carbohydrate "junkie" and very weak to refuse another bite after initial tasting then before you know it you had finished the whole freakin cake!!!
The first week was hell on earth,. the cravings, headaches and cold sweats akin to a chemical withdrawal, was very, very uncomfortable to say the least.. this is one reason I think most dieters fail. One has to go into this with the knowledge of going through withdrawals so you can be prepared for it and know that in due time, it will go away and it did, Once I got through the first week of not having the sugar It became very easy to push away desserts, white carbs and starchy veggies.
From this point forward, I will feature my daily food consumptions and suggestions and chronicle my progress and hopefully finally succeed with my NEW GOAL OF 28 LBS.
FIRST DAY: 205-7 lbs. waistline 40 "
Breakfast-
Lean turkey patty and egg beater scramble
Go to your local super and purchase those lean turkey breast, cut them up into small pieces , chopped an half onion, saute then add your egg beaters.
Lunch
Cut Brussels sprout into halves saute in olive oil an garlic and bittabuttah ( bit of butter)
a thin sliver for taste
Dinner
sauteed shrimp with bittabuttah parsley and olive oil.
